CrowdSourcing can be an effective and profitable way to fund our short term needs.
Specifically and first, we could put out a CrowdSource Request for managing our short term septic needs. Any activities that we may want to do on the land such as fundraisers, music festival, interim use, farmworker basics or…??? will require basic sanitary facilities.
We could also have several smaller project funding requests as well as more inclusive ones.
Highlighting the effort and money that has already gone into this Project, it will be better received as a chance of being successful. From what I’ve read, business startups receive a good share of the donations. If we got our 501c3, that would be an additional incentive as a tax deduction.
Taking a note from the folks Theresa shared, offering a small gift may incentivize a larger donation. i.e. under $20 we send our “undying gratitude”. $50 might get you a CGEV license plate (c=$5-8). $100 – maybe a T-Shirt, $500 – a private tour of the land! 😁
$1000 – a private tour and a night’s stay at the Nest??? $100K…you tell me! Just a thought.
